Queer Liberation March and Rally
45,000 people attended on June 30th, 2019, New York City
We are trans, bisexual, lesbian, gay, queer, intersex, asexual, two-spirit, non-binary, gender non-conforming + and allies.
The Queer Liberation March is a people’s political march - no corporate floats, and no police in our march. Our 2019 March is a truly grassroots action that will mobilize the community to address the many social and political battles that continue to be fought locally, nationally, and globally. Please see our statement on Why We March.
The March recognizes the powerful legacy of the Stonewall Rebellion by highlighting the most marginalized members of our community, as we commit to addressing the ongoing struggles that we face. We had 45,000 attend the March this past June 30th.
The Queer Liberation March kicked off June 30th at 9:30 a.m. sharp from the Stonewall Inn and proceeds up Sixth Avenue to Central Park for a community-focused Rally on the Great Lawn.
The March is organized by the Reclaim Pride Coalition (RPC), a growing global coalition of over 100 organizations and thousands of individuals who are reclaiming the NYC Pride March so it better represents the LGBTQIA2+allies.
The Reclaim Pride Coalition meets every other Wednesday at 7pm at The People’s Forum (320 West 37th Street). Our meetings are open to all, and are wheelchair accessible.
Join us in fighting for a better pride.
