QUEER LIBERATION MARCH 2020

RECLAIM PRIDE WILL MARCH AGAIN IN JUNE

~~~
COMMUNITY TOWN HALL ON JAN. 29 WILL DISCUSS DETAILS, RECRUIT VOLUNTEERS
New York, NY -- January 13, 2020 -- As the corporatized, barricaded, over-policed “Pride March” continues to fail our LGBTQIATS+ communities, the Reclaim Pride Coalition will organize and execute the second Queer Liberation March on June 28, 2020. The 2019 premier QLM was an astonishing success, drawing 45,000 participants, hungry for a free, open, inspiring community gathering.
Celebrating the exact 50th anniversary of the original Christopher Street Liberation Day March, organized by the Gay Liberation Front, we will again invite all groups and individuals to join our March of celebration and protest. And again, no corporate floats, no police contingent and no over-barricading. All people are welcome.
On Wed., Jan. 29, Reclaim Pride will hold an open community Town Hall meeting to discuss plans for the Queer Liberation March 2020 and related events, and to recruit volunteers for the work ahead. The Town Hall will be held from 7pm to 9pm at The People’s Forum, 320 West 37th St. (between 8th and 9th Aves.). The meeting will take place on the first floor, which is fully accessible. There will also be sign language interpreters for the event.
